Dear all I take this pleasure to share the progress that SCN has made thus far supporting the communities in their effort to build transitional shelters after their houses have been destroyed by the earthquake that shook Nepal on April 25 and May 12, 2015 with the initiation of the Humanitarian Assistance and Rehabilitation Project (HARP).

Approval from DAO, Nuwakot

Cheers! Finally we got the approval from the District Administrative Office (DAO) Nuwakot for the distribution of transitional shelter materials for the two most affected VDCs in the district i.e. Chaap and Talakhu. In accordance with the approval, we have develop and mobilised two teams to be present in the communities and work in the VDCs and provide the materials in the most effective and efficient way.
Emergency Relief Assistance

Share and Care Nepal (SCN) responded two weeks emergency relief assistance to address critical food security, temporary shelter, water, sanitation and hygiene needs of households whose home were destroyed in the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25, 2015 in 35 VDCs of Sindhupalchowk, Nuwakot, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchowk, Lalitpur and Kathmandu districts.

Dear friends and Partners, Thank you for your concerns through emails, face book comments, calls and SMS to know about our well being. Yes the earthquake in Nepal was big but with the grace of God, we all are safe with minor injuries and infrastructure damages.
Prakash develops himself as a model farmer
Prakash Thapa is 27 years old resident of Kukhure village-8 Mahakali Village Development Committee. He has four family members including his parents, wife and son. The main occupation of his family is agriculture and livestock. Prakash stayed in city Kathmandu and works in marketing for few years. Later he is not satisfied with his job so decided to go back home and support family in agriculture.
