TEAR Australia is a movement of Christians in Australia responding to the needs of poor communities around the world. Our motivation comes from our belief that God loves all people, and in Christ offers them the opportunity of a new life. We believe that God is just, and has particular care for the poor and those who suffer as victims of injustice.

TEAR Australia is supporting Community Based Health and Development Project Sindhupalchok, Kavrepalanchok and Kathmandu since. TEAR New Zealand

TEAR Fundstands for The Evangelical Alliance Relief Fund, an organization formed in Britain in the 1950s in response to African famine. It later became a permanent organization. The New Zealand group was formed in 1975.

TEAR Fund represents the compassion of Jesus. For over 30 years we have worked through child sponsorship, micro enterprise, community development and disaster relief projects throughout the developing world. Assistance is provided regardless of the religious beliefs of recipients.

TEAR Fund partners with local Christian organizations and churches in developing countries. Our partners use local staffs who work directly with the poorest people, helping them find their own solutions, cutting out the middleman and reducing costs. Our key activities are child sponsorship, Micro enterprise, community development projects and disaster relief.

TEAR Fund New Zealand is supporting Community Based Health and Development Project (CBHDP) Sindhupalchok, Kavrepalanchok and Kathmandu and Women in Difficult Circumstances Project (WDC) at Makawanpur District from 2008.  WDC is working for minimizing human trafficking.

At Tearfund, we believe the local church is central to overcoming poverty and transforming lives. We’re part of it, along with others around the world and with each and every one of our amazing supporters. Together, we make up the global church.

We have a vision to see 50 million people released from material and spiritual poverty through a worldwide network of 100,000 local churches.

We're making this vision a reality. We come alongside our local partner churches and church-based organisations, supporting them as they seek to lift their own communities out of poverty. We are recognised for our professional expertise in development, disaster response and recovery, and advocacy. This level of professionalism and expertise, matched with the enduring, sustainable effectiveness of the local church, is a powerful force in the face of poverty.
