During the meeting, members those who have learnt new things from training and workshops she share her learning to other group members. They not remain on learning but they do practice what they have learnt. Maiya Nepali, one of the members of the group has facilitated legal service to Meena Desar who lives in neighbouring V.D.C. Meena was married 8 years ago. She has one son but her husband hasn't cared for her and also hasn't visited the house. Sometimes when her husband visits the home, they usually have fight. Meena has accepted the life and has been living with the belief that her fate has brought this day in her life.
She is also a patient of Kidney disease. She couldn't afford for her treatment. 4 years ago, doctor had suggested operation. Due to the poor economic condition, she couldn't able to do her treatment. Her income is just enough for the fulfilment of their basic needs. After the Legal Advise from Dhaechhap Independent Women's Group, Meena approached to LACC to get her rights. She gets the letter from District Police Office, Jawalakhel for her basic requirement as well as her medical treatment. After the DPO letter LACC has made commitment to handle her case.
Today Meena has visiting DPO and LACC frequently to get her rights from her husband. She believes that she will be successful to get her rights back. Meena is grateful for women group for such facilitation and making aware on legal rights.
