Happiness In The Midst Of Pain

"Happiness In The Midst Of Pain"

Sanu Kanchi (Syantan), 45 years of Chhap VDC of Nuwakot is living with her husband, three sons and two daughters. Her house was destroyed by the earthquake and was living inside the tarpaulin sheet. After some days her tarpaulin sheet was blown by the wind though she settles it back but it was not useful. She was worried about the safety inside such tarpaulin sheet and monsoon ahead.

Meanwhile, Share and Care Nepal staffs visited her and shared their feelings with her and supported her to overcome the worries.

After assessing the needs and situation of our village, Share and Care Nepal distributed 2 bundles of zinc sheets and 5kgs of wire to all the households of her village.

She states, 'we were not in a position to go outside of village as we lost all our property, food and savings. At this very time, Share and Care Nepal team members visited us and distributed 2 bundles of zinc sheets and 5 kgs of wire to all the households in our village. They suffered through trouble and struggle in order to help us in our critical situation. They distributed relief materials in coordination with stakeholders in our village without obstruction from outside. We are very much thankful and indebted to Share and Care for meeting our most important basic need. The organization has contributed to bring smile in the midst of pain and sorrows.

After receiving zinc sheets and GI wires, she built temporary shelter, which made her feel safe and ease her daily job.
