Now I Can Feel Safe And Secure During The Monsoon

June 25, 2015

“Now I Can Feel Safe And Secure During The Monsoon."

Thulimaya Tamang, 48 years old of Chhap VDC, Nuwakot District is living with her husband, 4 daughters and two sons. Due to poverty, she has to take care of her family through labor work on daily wage basis.

She states, 'On 25th April 2015, the earthquake destroyed my house. It was beyond my imagination to rebuild house on my expenses as it was hard for me to even pay for our meal. I was so worried about how to resettle my accommodation. When Share and Care staff visited my house and they listen to me and share their experience of earthquake, it helped me to learn that I am not the only one in trouble and I was glad to know that Share and Care is working on possibilities to help us."

"Share and Care Nepal provided 2 bundles of zinc sheet and GI wires to all families in our village, that is big help for us since we are worried about the monsoon ahead. We are very much grateful and indebted to Share and Care for their gift and the struggles they went through to manage the collection, distribution and transportation."

I have built a temporary shelter for my family soon after I received zinc sheets and wires from Share and Care. Now I can feel safe and secure during the monsoon. I will keep on improving my house structure as I have received roof to my house.".
