Sarita Thing has taken to Bombay, India for Circus by her neighbor women when she is the aged of 12 years. She lives in Basamadi VDC ward no.3 called Jambo village. Now she is 25 years old. She has eight family members. Her father died when she is 6 years old. They do not have enough land and alternative income source. The family size is big so day by day there is a crisis in her family thus she decided to go to India to manage the crisis of her family.
She had no any idea and information about her job. She was forced to work in circus. She had to work from morning 3 am to 10 pm at night. There she did not have enough food and good money. She has faces many challenges and difficulties there. She has no good friend there. She used to cry but no one heard her voice. She had to wear short cloths ordered by the circus owner. If she has refused to wear such cloths the circus owner used to thump in her sensitive organ. She says “I stayed at hell for almost ten years” Later she knew that she was sold by her neighbor to circus owner for 8 years. The entire amount had already taken by her neighbor from circus owner. So she didn't get any amount from Circus. Her contract in circus was for 8 years but circus owner forced her to stay there for 2 more years.
When she was suffering from sickness due to weakness she couldn't perform well in the circus. She could not get proper medical treatment there. She became weak day by day. She can not work well then the circus owner released her to return her home.
Now she is at home helping her mother in household and field work. As a being elder daughter at family she has to take responsibility of her family. Some of her villagers seem her negatively due to her job in India. She left her village almost ten years so she has a very few friends in her village. Some of the villagers don’t want to talk to her. When she heard about villager’s gossip of her profession and character she feels bothered from her life but she used to pray with God to give power to struggle more.
When WDC project entered in her village to organize LRE she has joined the meeting and interested to participate in LRE center. She has now many friends. She became a member of "Jambo Women group". She expresses her feeling, experiences and difficulties with group member and adolescent girls in meetings. She says "through the LRE class villager’s perception towards trafficked girls and women gradually changing". I have learned life relevant skill and knowledge on the LRE center. It encouraged and boost up to struggle more for my upcoming days.
