What Work we Do
Women's Empowerment
The Nepali society is dominated by men. Women are generally treated as second grade citizens and even are discriminated in terms of legal rights as citizens. They do not enjoy equal status with men. Literacy rate of women is far below than men.
Share and Care recognizes the importance and need of empowering women to accelerate the pace of development by seeking active participation of women in development process by:
- Strengthening the knowledge and self confidence of women.
- Enhancing their decision making capacity
- Forming women's groups, women's cooperative and women's group network for mutual support.
